Wonderpuzzle is the brainchild of two parents, one an uber computer geek and the other a supermom/writer. Together, they have combined their talents to bring to life the Wonderpuzzle website.
Wonderpuzzle was inspired by their young daughter, Maura, who is herself a wonder and a puzzle. Almost four years of tests and doctors have not brought them closer to a diagnosis that would explain her delays and issues. In their journey, these parents have learned the joys and frustrations of parenting a child with needs that aren't always considered special, and also the isolation having a child without a diagnosis can bring. While everyone else was joining support groups and societies, Maura's parents only had each other. They decided to create their own, to bring together other parents, guardians, and caregivers who, though may not be in the same boat, are rowing with them on the same lake of the unknown.
So if you are one of these people, then welcome! You finally have a group to call your own.
The Wonderpuzzle Symbol

The Wonderpuzzle symbol was created to give those of us with children without diagnoses our own awareness symbol. The symbol came first, the name came later. The colors orange and yellow were chosen mainly because they are our daughter's favorite colors, but also because they're bright, happy colors. The color silver was chosen because the awareness ribbon for children with disabilities is silver. The silver piece represents that elusive missing piece to the puzzle that would explain why our children are the way they are.
Vision Statement
Our vision for Wonderpuzzle is to have a place for parents with a child/children with disabilities but do not have an overall diagnosis to come to for aide in researching causes for the disabilities, for social networking and support. Long term goals are to establish an assistance fund to help these families out in one way or another, be it financial assistance or advocacy assistance.
